Jake Paul warned he will be "knocked out cold" by Mike Tyson in Netflix fight

Mike Tyson has been backed to KO Jake Paul in their controversial boxing fight.

Heavyweight icon 'Iron Mike' fights YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on July 20 at the 80,000 seat Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas. Tyson hasn't competed in a professional fight since hanging up his gloves after retiring on his stool against journeyman Kevin McBride in 2005, whilst Paul has a professional record of 9-1.

Tyson suffered a health scare earlier this week whilst onboard a flight as he felt dizzy and nauseous because of an ulcer flare up, but the 57-year-old said he is now "doing great". British flyweight Nick Ball, who fights Raymond Ford this Saturday in Saudi Arabia, thinks Tyson has what it takes to beat Paul despite being over 30 years older than him.

“He [Paul] will be knocked out cold. He’s doing my head in," Ball told BoxingScene. “I’ve watched loads of [Tyson] to be honest, I still do to this day. That’s what people have been saying, we’ve got similarities. I like the way he fights. All his fights are exciting no matter who he’s in the ring with.

"He’d treat them all the same and goes into every fight the same. It’s no messing. That’s what I like about him. No messing. No wasting time. Straight to business.” Former heavyweight champion Tyson will need to pass brain and heart scans to be eligible to fight Paul because of his age.

Tyson has been told that he is at risk of suffering a brain injury in his upcoming fight by Nathan Howarth, Development and Operations Director at the Concussion Legacy Foundation UK. "Boxing has an inherent risk of concussion, there’s an increased risk of traumatic brain injury we have seen like bleeds on the brain," he told Betway.

"I’m not saying there is any evidence that as an older fighter, Mike would be at risk of that, however, we do know the impacts of subclinical concussions. It’s particularly important for someone like Mike Tyson who has had a long period of time in the sport anyway."
